Toshiba’s Passive Harmonic Filters are commonly used on the input side of motor drive systems. They are designed to limit the amount of harmonic distortion produced by Variable Frequency Drives. Available in Type 1 and Type 3R enclosures, they should be sized based on the current rating so that it meets or exceeds the maximum steady-state input current of the application.
